From Calculator to Signed Contract — The Full EngEst Pro Workflow

EngEst Pro is not eight calculators — it is one pipeline from the first load calculation to the final payment claim. Here is the whole path.

1. Estimate each discipline

Run the calculators the project needs — Electrical, EE Tools, Plumbing, Structural, Solar PV, Civil, FDAS, Painting. Each produces a priced, categorised Bill of Materials. Use the AI Plan Analyzer to jump-start takeoff from PDFs, and Auto Design for electrical layouts.

2. Consolidate in a project

Save each calculator output to a project. EngEst Pro merges the discipline BOMs into one consolidated BOQ with a single grand total, per-discipline subtotals, and a category breakdown.

3. Add the commercial layers

• Subcontractors — log bids per trade, select winners, roll totals in.
• Site Overhead — itemise preliminaries and general conditions.
• Conceptual Estimate — for any early-stage or provisional scope.

4. Build the bid

The Bid Summary combines direct costs, subcontractors, and overhead, then applies contingency, profit, and VAT in the correct order. Export a formal quotation PDF with your company letterhead, cost breakdown, payment terms, and a client signature block.

5. Deliver and get paid

• Progress Billing — a schedule of values from the BOQ, % complete per period, earned value, retention, and balance to complete.
• Change Orders — log every variation with price and approval; the net rolls into the contract sum.
