Isolated and Combined Footing Takeoff
Foundations are a stack of quantities per footing. Build a spreadsheet row per footing mark and the totals fall out.
Per-footing quantities

Combined and strip footings
Combined footings (two or more columns on one pad) and strip footings under walls use the same line items โ just longer plan dimensions and often a top mat as well as a bottom mat because the bending reverses between columns.
Waterproofing and protection
Where the water table is high, add a bituminous coating or membrane to buried faces, a protection board, and possibly a permanent dewatering allowance during construction.
Consolidate
Sum by footing mark → total excavation (m³), lean concrete (m³), structural concrete (m³ → cement/sand/gravel), rebar (kg by diameter), and backfill (m³ compacted). Spoil to remove = excavation − backfill, as loose volume.
